Labcaire WS6 Bench Mounted Compact Downflow Workstation / Fume Cupboard Description
It offers the same standard of protection as the larger Labcaire Downflow Benches but will sit on top of a standard worktop. As a result, it is ideally suited to a wide range of laboratory, industrial and forensic science applications.
As fume containment and therefore operator protection is achieved by the down flow of air, the WS6 does not require a front screen. This offers unhindered access to the working area making it ideal where close visibility is required.
Air is drawn down through the work surface grille and into the rear plenum chamber. From here, it is drawn through the pre-filter followed by the main activated carbon filter in the head unit. Clean air then exits the top of the cabinet via the quiet integral centrifugal fan. The pre-filters can be easily changed without disturbing the main 9kg Carbon filter which itself can be changed through the front panel.
The large area rolled front work surface is removable to facilitate retrieval of any foreign objects that may pass through the working grille. In addition to this, underneath the grille is a spillage tray to ensure that any accidents are contained. To the rear of the working area, there is a non-perforated area at the back to allow for the storage of chemicals.
The compact, adaptable design of the WS6 makes a variety of installation formats possible according to individual needs. For example several WS6 units can be positioned together to provide a continuous run of workspace.
