Labpol 8-12 Convertible Manual laboratory Rotary Polisher / Grinder Description:

The Labpol 8-12 has been designed as a compact bench top manual laboratory polisher/grinder for the preparation of samples for surface structure examination in the optical microscope or SEM. It can be configured as required with platen sizes 8in/203mm, 230mm, 250mm or 12in/305mm diameter. Only 8in platen supplied.

To change from one platen size to another simply remove the guard, lift off the platen from the locating pegs and replace with another platen size and guard. The platen is located on a platen support which rotates in a rugged bearing housing.

The platen support is driven by 0.75KW/ 1.0HP AC motor and inverter at speeds between 50 and 500 rpm.

A water inlet and drain are located on the rear panel. The water inlet is connected to a control tap and flexible hose which allows water to be directed to any part of the platen during grinding.
